A glazed stoneware bowl with wavy edgestitled “Löva”, Gustavsberg, 1950's, by a female Swedish ceramisit, Gabi Lemon-Tengborg (1930-2009). Stamped and gigned at the bottom.

Gabi Lemon-Tengborg (1930-2009), ceramist and designer, was born in Gdanzig 1930 and moved to Sweden in 1939. She studied at the Art Academy in Stockholm 1950-54, then employed by Gustav Porslinsfabrik period 1954-56. There she worked for Stig Lindberg and created, among other things bowls and dishes in lövform, and some tea sets. 1956 Gabi gets pregnant and forced to stop at the Gustavsberg and in 1964 the family moved to Lund. There, in the home, based Gabi a workshop with an electric oven and restart their activities as potters. She worked mainly with sculptures and reliefs, often in public spaces. The period 1972-74 she designed also to Jie Gantofta.

Gabi has had individual exhibitions in Stockholm, Lund, Höganäs, Visby and Helsingborg. She has made public embellishment in Lund, Eksjö, Nässjö, Strangnas, Angelholm, Stockholm and Malmö etc. She is a member of KIF and KRO and represented in museums in Jönköping, Helsingborg, Höganäs, Trondheim and Gothenburg. Gabi signs its objects "Gabi CT", "GABI" or the entire name "Gabi Lemon-Tengborg"
